The vision for Marée is rooted in honoring the building’s history while creating a place that feels relevant, welcoming, and lived in. From the kitchen to the bar, the focus is on craftsmanship, seasonality, and connection. Marée is designed as a restaurant that feels like part of the neighborhood, not apart from it.

Founded by Jersey Shore locals Marilyn Schlossbach and Bret Morgan, Marée grew out of a shared belief that great restaurants are built on community. Marilyn brings decades of culinary experience and a deep understanding of coastal food culture. Bret brings a background in building and revitalizing spaces that bring people together. Together, they set out to create a coastal gathering place defined by warmth, integrity, and a strong sense of place.
