Marée Kitchen + Bar

Marée is a forthcoming neighborhood bistro and bar in Spring Lake, inspired by the rhythm of the ocean and the enduring character of the coast. The name comes from the French word for “tide,” reflecting the balance between change and continuity that defines both the shoreline and the community it shapes.

The vision for Marée is rooted in honoring the building’s history while creating a place that feels relevant, welcoming, and lived in. From the kitchen to the bar, the focus is on craftsmanship, seasonality, and connection. Marée is designed as a restaurant that feels like part of the neighborhood, not apart from it.

The menu centers on seasonal American fare, sourced with care and an emphasis on local producers and sustainable ingredients. The beverage program offers thoughtfully crafted cocktails alongside a curated selection of wine and beer, favoring balance, simplicity, and quality.

Founded by Jersey Shore locals Marilyn Schlossbach and Bret Morgan, Marée grew out of a shared belief that great restaurants are built on community. Marilyn brings decades of culinary experience and a deep understanding of coastal food culture. Bret brings a background in building and revitalizing spaces that bring people together. Together, they set out to create a coastal gathering place defined by warmth, integrity, and a strong sense of place.
