The Windswept

A 46-room oceanfront motel at the end of the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk, acquired in 2026 and being renovated while it operates.

Operating · Renovating General Partner & Operator Since 2026

We bought a 46-room motel at the end of the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk in 2026.

The Windswept is a classic mid-century Jersey Shore motel: oceanfront, family-run for decades, and the kind of place that used to line the coast but mostly doesn’t anymore. It already had the things I look for in a property: history, a loyal guest base, a strong location, and an identity that would be hard to recreate from scratch.

What we’re doing

The motel is a real operating business, and our first job is to learn how it actually works: the seasonal rhythms, the guests who’ve been coming back for twenty years, and the parts of the operation that have made it successful for so long.

From there, the plan is a phased renovation and repositioning. We’ll modernize the rooms and systems, improve the guest experience, and give the property a clearer identity while keeping the mid-century character that makes it interesting in the first place.

The goal is to make The Windswept a better version of what it already is, and build a long-term hospitality asset around a property with real history and a location that’s hard to replicate.

The Windswept is managed by Inplace, alongside The Surf Village in Bradley Beach.
